Port and Polish Fast Engines Edmonton




Recently I did a performance application to my 83 Rabbit GTI (1.8 Litre/ 8 Valve). I bumped the compression to 10.5 to 1 with 1987 1.8 Litre pistons, I also resurfaced the block .025" and resurfaced the head .022 (29 cc). A tier 3 port and polish was also done with big valve conversion. The intake throat was cut at 92 percent of valve size and the exhaust throat was cut to 84 percent of valve size. I blended the bowls with full runner texturize as well as the gasket match.

Great first post on your upgrades to your 1.8. I would be interested in knowing what performance increases you noticed with these changes. Approx. what were the costs.
